Got a Story?
Our mouths are vital to our overall health. The oral-systemic health connection is real, and continuing medical research proves it.
Medications, certain habits, poor hygiene, dry mouth, as well as Diabetes, Sjorgren’s Syndrome, Lupus, and Rheumatoid Arthritis all can negatively affect our health.
Oral health problems, left untreated, can develop into life-threatening diseases like Pneumonia, Thrush, Digestive and Respiratory Disorders, Heart Disease, and even Cancer.
So what should you do? How can you prevent some of these things from happening to you? We encourage you to learn from both our members and our dental professionals alike. If you have a story to share with us, please don’t hesitate or be embarrassed! You will help yourself, and you will be helping others who might be going through the same situation. That’s one of the many reasons we love this community!

I Felt Like A Vampire!
I am 35 years old. I have been married to my best friend since we were 20 and we have 4 beautiful daughters together.
I never had a cavity until I was 18 years old, and that quickly turned into needed root canals and more and more work done. After my pregnancy, my teeth went downhill fast, and by age 21, I was in my first upper partial and extremely self conscious after having to go to work and function missing two front teeth (the two on the sides of the front two). I felt like a vampire lol

I sure wish DentureWearers.com was around back then
When I was 17, I got into a bad car accident and lost a lot of teeth. Since then, all my teeth that were left just got worse. I must have had at least three partial dentures before I ended up with full dentures at 30. By the time I turned 50, I had it all-a great family, a thriving business, but I still had no teeth. And it bothered me – a lot! I knew there were a lot of advances in dental implants, so I asked my assistant to search the internet for permanent new teeth. I went to several prosthodontists before I found one I liked. I sure wish DentureWearers.com was around back then. It would have saved me a lot of legwork.
