I am 35 years old. I have been married to my best friend since we were 20 and we have 4 beautiful daughters together.
I never had a cavity until I was 18 years old, and that quickly turned into needed root canals and more and more work done. After my pregnancy, my teeth went downhill fast, and by age 21, I was in my first upper partial and extremely self conscious after having to go to work and function missing two front teeth (the two on the sides of the front two). I felt like a vampire lol
When I was 24, I decided it was time to invest in the health and saving of my teeth. I spent over $10,000 to have all my uppers root-canaled, crowned, and two bridges for the upper along with an upper partial. I had been missing my lower molars for years and never wore my lower partial.
Fast forward ten years, and all my lower side teeth had broken off at the gum line leaving only 6 bottom front teeth left, and they were breaking and cracking and chipping. One tooth that was part of a bridge had an abscess above it that swelled my whole face up. aI would have to remove that whole very expensive bridge and have a big gap in my smile again. I didn’t want to do that so I decided to go to a consultation with Dr Todd Shatkin for his mini implants and snap in dentures. May of 2019, I had my surgery and got my implants and snap ins. I wasn’t happy with my immediate load set. Ultimately Dr Shatkin remade them for me, and after a considerable amount of stress and tension- he performed a miracle and made me fall in love with my new snap ins. I am forever grateful for that and for him being as patient as he was.
Problems I had before using Dr B- I was always worried the products I was using could damage my snap ins especially bc they do have metal components and not everyone knows that requires different care. I didn’t really have a good way to deep clean them safely and I also worried about regular toothpaste possibly scratching them or not being good for the surfaces.
Thank you for your time and this opportunity!
